The prize draw
- The promoter is the Wallace Collection, Hertford House, Manchester Square, London W1U 3BN, in partnership with Living Architecture (together “the Promoters”).
- The title of the prize draw is: A House for Essex Prize Draw.
- Entry is free and no purchase is required. The winner will be selected at random from valid entries.
The prize
- The prize is a two-night stay for up to four adults in A House for Essex (two bedrooms). The stay may take place on a Monday–Wednesday or Wednesday–Friday in 2025 or 2026.
- Bookings are subject to availability and exclude the Christmas and New Year period.
- The prize is subject to Living Architecture’s standard booking Terms & Conditions, available at www.living-architecture.co.uk/terms-conditions.asp.
- The prize is not transferable, refundable or exchangeable. There is no cash alternative.
- The Promoters reserve the right to substitute the prize with one of equal or greater value if necessary.
- Travel, meals, and other expenses are not included.
How to enter
- The prize draw opens at 00:00 on 27 September 2025 and closes at 23:59 on 26 October 2025.
- All entries must be received by the Closing Time. Entries received after this time will not be included.
- To enter you must be subscribed to the Wallace Collection email newsletter by the Closing Time (new and existing subscribers are included); provide accurate contact details; and meet the eligibility criteria set out in section 4.
- One entry per person. Entries on behalf of another person, bulk entries or automated entries are not permitted.
- By entering the prize draw, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
Eligibility
- The competition is open to individuals aged 18 and over.
- Employees, contractors, trustees or workers of the Wallace Collection or Living Architecture, their immediate families, or anyone professionally connected with the prize draw are not eligible to enter.
- Entrants must be able to accept the prize in accordance with the restrictions stated (section 2).
- The Promoters may require proof of eligibility.
Winner
- The Promoters’ decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
- The winner will be selected at random from all valid entries after the Closing Time.
- The winner will be notified by email using the address linked to their subscription within 14 days of the Closing Time.
- If the winner does not respond within 14 days of notification, the Promoters reserve the right to withdraw the prize and select another winner.
- To comply with UK advertising regulations, the surname and county of the winner may be made available to anyone requesting this information in writing within one month of the Closing Time. Entrants may object to this by contacting the Wallace Collection, but the Promoters may still be required to provide this information to the Advertising Standards Authority.
Claiming the prize
- To claim the prize, the winner must confirm acceptance by replying to the notification email within 14 days.
- The prize may not be claimed on behalf of another person.
- If the winner is unable to take up the prize, no alternative will be offered.
Marketing and publicity
- By entering, you agree to participate in reasonable publicity relating to the prize draw, including the use of your name in announcements or media coverage, if required.
- With consent, the Promoters may also use photographs, interviews or other content relating to the prize for promotional purposes.
Data protection
- Personal data collected for the prize draw will be processed in accordance with the Wallace Collection’s Privacy Policy and used solely for the administration of the competition, unless you have separately consented to receive marketing communications.
- Data may also be shared with Living Architecture to the extent necessary to administer the prize.
Limitations
- As far as permitted by law, the Promoters accept no liability for any loss, damage, injury or disappointment suffered as a result of entering the competition or accepting the prize. Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
General
- The Promoters reserve the right to void, suspend, cancel or amend the prize draw where it becomes necessary to do so.
- The Promoters may disqualify any entrant who breaches these terms or acts contrary to the spirit of the prize draw.
- These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Entrants submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
