Become a Benefactor

Joining the Benefactors is a unique and rewarding way to support the Wallace Collection. With exclusive behind-the-scenes and in-depth access to this eclectic collection, as a Benefactor you will advance your knowledge and expand your understanding of a diverse range of topics; from the production of arms and armour to cabinet-making and gilding.

Your exclusive access extends beyond the museum, with invitations to accompany curators on private visits to other institutions, collections and exhibitions.

The Curator's Circle

Join our Curator’s Circle and learn more about the Collection. Enjoy behind-the-scenes tours, previews of exhibitions and exclusive Benefactor-only events. Meet our curators, conservators and other supporters.

As a member of the Curator’s Circle you will have access to the following:

  • Invitations to exhibition opening parties with curator-led previews
  • Private behind-the-scenes events at the Wallace Collection
  • Opportunities to join the Director and curators on art historical trips in the UK and abroad (additional fees apply; priority booking for Director’s Circle and Conservator’s Circle)
  • An exclusive programme of events at other museums and places of interest
  • An invitation to the Director’s Annual Lecture and drinks reception
  • Crediting in our Annual Report and donor board (donor board listing applicable after two years’ membership)
  • Supporters’ magazine
  • 10% discount in the Wallace Collection shop and restaurant*

*Discount in the restaurant will only be applied to the first £50 spent per visit.

The Conservator’s Circle

Join our Conservator’s Circle and learn more about the Collection. Enjoy behind-the-scenes tours, previews of exhibitions and exclusive Benefactor-only events. Meet our curators, conservators and other supporters.

As a member of the Conservator’s Circle, you will enjoy the same access to events, exhibition openings and offsite visits as the Curator’s Circle, but your additional donation will be used to support conservation projects at the Wallace Collection.

As a member of the Conservator’s Circle you will have access to the following:

  • All Curator’s Circle benefits
  • An overview of the our forthcoming conservation projects
  • Regular updates from conservators and the development team on the progress of conservation projects
  • Two additional events per year connected with conservation projects. e.g. a private breakfast view with one of the conservators

The Director’s Circle

Join our Director’s Circle and learn more about the Collection. Enjoy behind-the-scenes tours, previews of exhibitions and exclusive Benefactor-only events. Meet our curators, conservators and other supporters.

As a member of the Director’s Circle, you will enjoy the same access to events, exhibition openings and offsite visits as the Curator’s Circle, but your additional donation will be used to support the exhibition programme at the Wallace Collection.

As a member of the Director’s Circle you will have access to the following:

  • All Curator’s Circle benefits
  • An invitation to the annual Director’s Dinner
  • Additional invitations to exclusive and intimate behind-the-scenes trips in the UK and overseas, visiting private collections and residences (additional fees apply)
  • Assistance accessing exhibitions and museums around Europe*
  • Priority booking for Benefactor events and galas
  • Regular updates from the Director and the development team on the progress of the Collection’s forthcoming exhibitions
  • A private reception and advanced preview of exhibitions for Director’s Circle members only
  • A complimentary catalogue from each Wallace Collection exhibition

The European Friends

The European Friends unites European supporters of the Wallace Collection in an exclusive and intimate circle which secures the future of the museum and offers special access to the unique residence of Hertford House and the masterpieces within it.

As a European Friend, the donation you make each year will support a special project at the Wallace Collection. To recognise and celebrate this support you will be entitled to the following:

  • All Director’s Circle benefits
  • The project will be named to reflect the support of the European Friends. It will be commemorated by an appropriate plaque or signage and publicity surrounding the project
  • Quarterly events at the Collection which explore and review the project with your fellow European Friends through lectures, handling sessions or unveiling receptions of completed projects
  • Regular updates from our curators and conservators on the progress of the project

£10,000 per annum
