We welcome groups at the Wallace Collection for self-guided visits, or private guided tours from our expert guide lecturers. We offer various options depending on whether you are visiting the permanent Collection or one of our temporary exhibitions.

If you are planning to visit with a large group, please get in contact with us well in advance to ensure we can accommodate you at your desired date/time. More information below. Please note that a maximum of 25 people are allowed in any gallery at one time.

Private Guided Tours of the Permanent Collection

Available 7 days a week between 10am-3.30pm, tours last 75mins.

Led by one of our expert guide lecturers, groups can enjoy a private guided tour of the collection at £10 per person, or a minimum charge of £120. From April 2019 this will increase to £11 per person and £132. A maximum of 25 people can be addressed per guide, but it is possible to run two tours concurrently. Tours are subject to availability, so please book at least 2 weeks in advance to avoid disappointment.

Unguided Tours

There is no charge for self-guided groups, however booking at least 2 weeks in advance is essential and subject to availability. Any groups visiting the Wallace Collection should have a designated group leader who acts as the primary correspondent between the museum and group on the day of visit. Please note that groups led by Wallace Collection guides and educators get priority in the galleries, please give way to these groups when you see them.

Temporary Exhibitions

Due to the size of our exhibition spaces group bookings are limited to 20 people per time slot. Time slots are every 15 mins. If your group is bigger than 20 we can accommodate your visit across several time slots.

Self-guided group visit (10 people+):

Groups of 10 or more are eligible for a 10% discount for bookings (Mon – Fri only).

Guided visits:

Available 7 days a week, 10am – 3.30pm, dependent on availability, talk runs for 30mins.

Our guided exhibition visits start with a talk about the temporary exhibition in our lecture theatre from one of our expert guides. Your group will then be able to enjoy a self-guided exhibition visit in designated time slots as per your booking.

The talk costs a flat rate of £150 up to a maximum of 50 people. Groups of 10 or more are eligible for a 10% discount on the total value of their exhibition tickets.

Out of Hours Groups & Tours

Exclusive Access Tours are available in the morning before the museum opens to the public, between 9.00-10.00am. In the evening, they can form an enjoyable and fascinating part of your event, creating a memorable evening for your guests. For more information call our Events team on 020 7563 9546.
