Visitors to the Wallace Collection are permitted to take photographs and film for personal use, using hand-held cameras and phones. Additional equipment such as tripods, monopods, gimbals, selfie sticks, drones, flashes, reflectors and modelling lights are not permitted in the galleries.
We encourage you to share your personal experience of your visit on social media, provided it is for private, non-commercial purposes. The Wallace Collection does not allow visitors to create media to be used for commercial advantage or private monetary compensation. For example, to publish or broadcast, license, sell to third parties, create merchandise, promote brands or revenue generating posts such as branded advertising, including paid for affiliate links.
Please refrain from the following activities:
- Touching or placing items on objects, plinths or cases while taking photographs or filming.
- Photographing children and young people without explicit consent from an accompanying adult (for example, school groups and/or those attending family events).
- Taking professional portraits or other photographs explicitly featuring people, including fashion shoots, student shoots and special event shoots such as weddings, engagements, birthdays and anniversaries.
- Taking photographs of any loans, temporary exhibitions or displays with no-photography signage.
When taking photographs in our galleries, you may be approached by our front-of-house staff and asked about the purposes of your photography/filming. The Wallace Collection reserves the right to request you stop your activities if they are found to be in breach of its terms and conditions.
Please respect the individual wishes of visitors by not obstructing access to our works of art or taking pictures of anyone without their explicit permission.
