The Wallace Collection Library and Archives reflect the collections and history of the Museum and its founders.

We have material on the following subjects:

  • Painting from the Old Masters to the mid-19th century
  • French 17th- and 18th-century decorative arts
  • European sculpture from the Renaissance to the 18th century
  • Medieval and Renaissance decorative arts
  • Bronzes (Renaissance, Baroque, French eighteenth-century)

The Wallace Collection Library and Archives is open

The Wallace Collection Library and Archives is now open, but due to social distancing spaces will be limited to 4.

The Library is available by appointment only Tuesday–Friday, 10.00–17.00, and closes for an hour at lunchtime between 13.30–14.30. The Library will be closed for the holidays from 20 December - 3 January 2022.

Appointments are necessary as most of our collections are housed in staff offices, so please allow 48 hours’ notice for requesting any material and no more than 5 books at a time, but you can order more after you arrive.
