About this session
What power do portraits hold? How do they shape our personal and public identity? Through close looking and discussion with our museum educator, your pupils will encounter famous and intriguing portraits by artists such as Velázquez and Rembrandt. They will consider the impact and meaning of portraits today and the creative choices artists make. Your pupils will also sketch out their ideas for further creative exploration back in the classroom.
