Silver Sunday: Slow Looking, Simple Drawing
| Date | Sunday 11 October 2026 |
| Time | 14.00 - 15.30 BST |
| Location | At the museum (Learning Studio) |
Join artist and educator Norton Asbury for a relaxed afternoon of looking and drawing in the Great Gallery, part of our celebration of Silver Sunday, the national day for older people.
We begin with tea and coffee in the Learning Studio before moving into the gallery to spend time with a small number of landscape paintings, among them Rubens’s Rainbow Landscape. Through close looking, conversation and some simple drawing activities, you will discover how these pictures were made and what gives each one its own mood and character.
The session is relaxed and unhurried. No previous experience is needed and all materials are supplied.
Free. Booking essential. Click here to book.
