Discover how Richard Wallace went to extreme measures to keep his collection safe during the Franco-Prussian War and how a fire struck his library in 1874. Find out more about how the contents of Hertford House were evacuated for safekeeping during World War I and II and access prints, drawings, photographs and ephemera related to these catastrophic events, that are not usually on display.
