Going Dutch: Secrets and Stories in Art from the Dutch Golden Age
| Date | Tuesday 29 January 2027 |
| Time | 14.00 - 16.00 GMT |
| Location | At the museum (Multiple Galleries and Learning Studio) |
| Tutor | Jon Sleigh |
An afternoon of storytelling with educator Jon Sleigh, for people living with dementia and their carers or companions.
The Wallace Collection is a treasure trove of art from the Dutch Golden Age. Our warm, sensory storytelling tour explores some of its most famous and lesser-known pictures and the secrets and stories they hold, from epic sea battles and lavish feasts to cheeky encounters in a tavern.
Back in the Learning Studio, over tea, coffee and biscuits, we experiment with collage, merging and blending images into landscapes of our own.
The session is relaxed and unhurried. No previous experience is needed and all materials are supplied.
Free but booking is essential. Our workshops often have long waiting lists, so if you can no longer attend, please let us know as soon as possible and we will offer your place to someone else. Click here to book.
