An afternoon of drawing with artist Marie-Thérèse Ross, for people living with dementia and their carers or companions. 

We begin in the Learning Studio with tea and coffee and an introduction to our exhibition Winston Churchill: The Painter, looking at the landscapes he painted on his travels through Venice and the south of France. We then go up to the galleries to draw from the Collection’s own landscapes, among them Rubens’s Rainbow Landscape and views by Canaletto and Vernet. 

We return to the studio to share what everyone has made, and there will be the chance to visit the Churchill exhibition together afterwards. 

The session is relaxed and unhurried. No previous experience is needed and all materials are supplied.
