Dementia-Friendly Workshop: Portraits in Print
| Date | Friday 30 October 2026 |
| Time | 14.00 - 16.00 GMT |
| Location | At the museum (Learning Studio) |
An afternoon of portraits with artist Caroline Dorset, for people living with dementia and their carers or companions.
We begin in the galleries with some of the Collection’s best-known faces, among them Frans Hals’s Laughing Cavalier and Gainsborough’s Mrs Robinson, talking about the sitters, the painters, and what a pose or a piece of clothing can tell us about a person.
Back in the Learning Studio, over tea and coffee, you will choose a favourite and recreate it as a mono-print, rolling ink onto perspex and drawing into it to make a print of your own to take home.
The session is relaxed and unhurried. No previous experience is needed and all materials are supplied.
Free. Booking essential. Click here to book.
