Free Admission
Both to the permanent collections and temporary exhibitions.

Getting to the Collection
There is a sloped driveway up to the front entrance where ramp access is availible to the right hand side.

The entrance double doors are not automatic however staff are available to open them for visitors.

Parking
Limited parking at the front of the Museum is available to disabled visitors. This should be booked in advance by telephoning the Security Desk on +44 (0)20 7563 9523. There are 2 parking spaces for Blue Badge holders in Manchester Square and others in nearby streets.

Full Physical Access
To all public areas, including galleries, restaurant, library and lecture theatre. Lift to all three floors with voice announcer. Assistance dogs are welcome. Remote door openers available from the Security Desk.

Facilities
Cloakroom
Large bags and umbrellas should be left at the cloakroom next to the Information Desk at the entrance to the Wallace Collection. There is no cloakroom charge.

Toilets
Public toilets are on the lower ground floor under the restaurant. There is an accessible lavatory with a panic button and audio visual alarm. There is also one baby changing cubicle. Click here for a map highlighting toilet areas.

  • Audio guides - three types of tour; General, Visually Impaired and Simple Language. Large print transcript of the audio guide is available on request

  • Raised line floor plan in Grade 1 Braille

You may be asked to leave a deposit when using any of the items available from the Information Desk or Security Desk.

Galleries

  • Free image and text sheets available in some galleries
  • Public Seating available in most galleries
  • Large text labels in Exhibition Galleries
  • Arms and Armour handling collection in the Conservation Gallery on the Lower Ground Floor Wood marquetry handling material will also be available shortly

Tours and Lectures
Guides can wear Portable Hearing Loops on request, please inform the Information Desk or your Guide before the start of the tour if you require this service.

The Lecture Theatre is equipped with an Audio Loop System and has space for up to 4 wheelchair users.
