As trade and commerce flourished, the newly emerging regent and merchant classes controlled the prosperity of the country, and were keen to record their achievements through the acquisition of art. Over three-days you will learn about the vast range of genres that appeared at this time, with subjects to suit all tastes and pockets, from majestic marine scenes and landscapes to exquisite flower paintings, portraits and genre scenes.
