Dive into the world of Sir Richard Wallace with this special London Winds performance of works from his day – including Petite Symphonie by Charles Gounod – a contemporary and friend of Sir Richard. Guests can enjoy a glass of wine and explore our exhibition, Sir Richard Wallace: The Collector, before this intimate performance in the spectacular surroundings of Sir Richard’s Great Gallery.
Founded in 1988 by British clarinettist Michael Collins, the London Winds are celebrating their 30th anniversary and are recognised as one of the world’s most prominent chamber ensembles.
Please note that the permanent collection closes at 5pm. The exhibition Sir Richard Wallace: The Collector however, will stay open until 7.30pm. Guests will be invivted to take their seats in the Great Gallery from 7pm onwards. The Wallace Restaurant will remain open throughout the evening for drinks and dinner.
