A Special Display in the Wallace Collection Visitors' Library this November.
A passionate advocate of broadening access to art, Sir Richard Wallace was the leading subscriber to Édouard Lièvre’s exquisitely illustrated Musée graphique, and many works of art from his collection are depicted in it. Published as a set of unbound mounted plates in portfolios, copies of Musée graphique were intended for libraries in towns without physical museums. In this special display this November, we show selected highlights from the publication in our Visitors' Library.
Open 6-26 November (weekdays only). Free admission, no bookings required.
Learn more about Musée graphique at a special evening event on the 19 November, in the Visitors' Library with curator, Suzanne Higgott. Read more...
