(Sofia Coppola, 123 mins, 2006)
Sofia Coppola’s seminal film about Marie-Antoinette, a naive, 14-year-old Austrian who married Louis XVI, and was unprepared for the woes of politics involved in being the Queen of France during the French Revolution. Manolo Blahnik designed and made all of the shoes that can be seen in the film, many of which can be seen in the Wallace Collection’s Oval Drawing Room as part of An Enquiring Mind: Manolo Blahnik at the Wallace Collection.
