Jean-Honoré Fragonard’s treasured rococo painting The Swing has undergone gentle cleaning and restoration. This is a process that all paintings of a certain age must go through occasionally in order to keep them safe for our visitors to enjoy, now and into the future. The Swing has now returned to the galleries where its brilliant colours sparkle. We hope you enjoy seeing The Swing as Fragonard intended.
