Secondary School Session for KS4 and KS5.

10.30–16.00: Morning at the Wallace Collection, afternoon at the National Portrait Gallery.

Year-round session. Book at least 5 weeks in advance. Maximum of 26 students.

This workshop explores relationships between ‘old’ and contemporary art by examining Old Master portraits in the Wallace Collection and contemporary works at the National Portrait Gallery. Students will:

  • Discuss representation, gender, status, beauty, and identity
  • Make links across the two collections
  • Make drawings as part of their research
