The Wallace Collection

Collections Management Policy

As an Accredited museum, the Wallace Collection has a Collections Management Policy, which has been formally adopted by the Trustees of the Wallace Collection.

The purpose of the Collections Management Policy is to set out the standards of care by which the collections of the Museum are governed in order to enable the Wallace Collection to deliver on the museum’s strategic objectives. Through the individual key policy areas of collections development, information, access and care and conservation, the Wallace Collection aims to achieve a balance between access and preservation, and between the needs of the collections and the people who use them.
