Sèvres Inspired Tin Plates
Our exquisite range of tin plates featuring 18th Century designs, was inspired by the Sèvres soft-paste porcelain in the Wallace Collection. The Sèvres procelain factory was owned by Louis XV of France from 1759, and purchasers of such elaborately decorated pieces as these plates included the King and his family, his mistresses (including Madame de Pompadour) and courtiers at the Palace of Versailles. The plates are very lightweight, they are 10 inches (26cm) in diameter and ideal for picnics or summer garden parties.
