The detail in the watch is taken from the Mantel clock attributed to André – Charles Boulle (1715), currently on display in the Billiard Room at the Wallace Collection. The gilt-bronze figure of Venus rests her right foot on a spiral shell, which was probably cast from life, while Cupid with his bow and arrow stands beside her.
Made from gold plated nickel, the Boulle Watch is complemented with a brown leather strap.
