September 2011 to February 2013
Journey’s East was a unique community project brought to you by the Wallace Collection supported by the National Lottery through the Heritage Lottery Fund. This project involved 60 individuals from the ages of 3 to 80+ from East Ham, Peckham, West Hampstead and Ealing working on a yearlong project to make artwork for an exhibition in response to the Wallace Collection’s Dutch Masterpieces to celebrate the refurbishment of the Museum’s East Galleries. The project also involved the recruitment and training of an Arts Educator, a team of Community Ambassadors and Refugee Tour Guides.
