Reigniting Splendour: The Cleaning and Conservation of two Chinese Incense Burners
Saturday 15th March, 2008 - Monday 21st July, 2008
- Price: Admission Free
This fabulous pair of nineteenth-century Chinese incense-burners were conserved a few years ago in our Conservation workshops. Monumental in size, they are entirely covered in delicate cloisonné-enamel decoration which posed a number of challenging problems for the conservators. This exhibition will reveal how those challenges were met.
There will be a talk on this display on Tuesdays 18 March, 22 April & 13 May at 1pm
