Lecturer: Giuseppe Albano

Stories from the glory days of Greece and Rome have inspired European artists for centuries. And by artists, we don't just mean painters and sculptors, but also makers of ceramics, maiolica, and furniture. This gallery talk will look at how classical themes have been incorporated - sometimes surprisingly, often cunningly, always intriguingly - into a range of works of fine and decorative art across the Wallace Collection.

Giuseppe Albano is Curator at Keats-Shelley House, Rome.

Talks in the galleries are strictly limited to 25 people with places allocated on
a first come first served basis.
