Damien Hirst's work and its critical reception are the subjects of this exciting study day, timed to coincide with our exhibition, No Love Lost, Blue Paintings by Damien Hirst. Distinguished speakers include art critic Richard Cork on 'The art of dying', Iwona Blazwick OBE, Director of the Whitechapel Gallery, discussing Hirst's early work and its reception and Karen Wright, art critic, who will consider Hirst as the star of contemporary British art. The day will conclude with a discussion chaired by art critic Richard Dorment.
