Conference: Delicious Decadence: The rediscovery of French 18th-century painting in the 19th-century

To coincide with the exhibition ‘Masterpieces from the Louvre: The Collection of Louis La Caze’, this international conference will explore nineteenth-century taste for French art of the eighteenth century in France, Britain and Germany. Speakers from Paris, Clermont-Ferrand, London and Edinburgh will explore the collecting, criticism and exhibitions of French eighteenth-century art in France, England, Scotland and Germany.
